Resource Development & Consulting
The Gender Violence Institute is a resource development and consulting firm
founded in 1994 by Rose Thelen and Chuck Derry.
Thelen and Derry have worked to end violence against women since 1980. For
fourteen years they provided services to battered women and their children,
coordinated and delivered programming for men who batter, organized
criminal and civil justice system responses to domestic assault, and
provided training on the issue of domestic violence.
The Gender Violence Institute has worked with professionals from a variety
of disciplines in the criminal justice system, academia, health and human
services, sexual assault, and battered women's programming throughout the
U.S. and Canada.
GVI will provide services that meet the goals of your organization or
community. Whether that is accomplished through a one-time presentation, a
three-day training, or an extended contract for special projects or program
